Documenting everyday life in Japan means diving into a world of harmonious contrasts. Tokyo overwhelmed me with its dynamism, while Kyoto welcomed me with an ancient calm, surrounded by temples, wooden houses, and figures in kimonos that seemed suspended in time. This duality made me reflect on how a country can be both modern and traditional at the same time, without losing its identity.

Taking photos in Japan felt like a silent dialogue with my surroundings. I had no set plan; I let instinct and curiosity guide me. Looking back at the images once I returned home, I realized that each shot was a fragment of a larger story—a visual experience that I hope conveys to the viewer what it truly means to walk the streets of this extraordinary country.
