BIO

Omar Essam, born in 1993, is a self-taught photographer who began his journey in 2011, taking his first steps with a smartphone and a curiosity for capturing everyday details. Over time, his passion led him to explore various photography genres until he found his true calling in street photography in 2017. From that moment on, the streets became his expressive space, a place to observe and tell stories through light and movement.

In 2018, About Japan Series was born, a project created in Japan that gained recognition on major platforms such as Behance and Eyeshot Magazine, bringing visibility to his unique style. From there, the journey continued: Europe, the United States, Egypt. Each city became a stage for unrepeatable moments, fragments of life taking shape within the frame.

Omar has exhibited his work in various exhibitions, including his first solo show, and has participated in events and talks, engaging audiences with his photographic vision. For him, photography is an act of listening,  it means pausing, observing, and giving a voice to what would otherwise go unnoticed.
